At Realty Shop & Property Management, we know that there are many companies from which to rent a home and we are thrilled that you have chosen us to meet your housing needs! We look forward to your tenancy, and have created this page to help ensure a smooth transition for all of our new residents. We encourage you to read through the following information, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact our office for assistance.
1. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with Realty Shop & Property Management’s “Addendum A, Rules & Regulations” section of your lease. This document contains a wealth of information on, for example, paying rent, move-in inspections, and pets. It’s often helpful to print a copy of our “Addendum A, Rules & Regulations” and keep them somewhere that’s easily accessible.
2. Don’t wait to schedule your utilities to be turned-on in your name! Utilities will be turned-off on the first day of your lease regardless of whether or not you have scheduled them to be switched into your name. Please refer to the Tenant Folder for which utility companies service your new home.
3. When you pick up keys to your new home, you will receive your Tenant Folder which will include a Move-In Inspection Form. In order for us to provide you with the best possible service it’s essential that you complete the Move-In Inspection and return it to us within 7 days of the day you pick-up your keys. The Move-In Inspection is your opportunity to indicate issues with the property existing prior to your occupancy. Note that the Move-In Inspection is NOT a Maintenance Request. If you find something that needs to be repaired, you must submit a Maintenance Request in writing. If you have misplaced your Move-In Inspection, you may download them by clicking on the downloads tab on the left.
4. Understanding and abiding by your neighborhood Homeowner Association’s “Rules and Regulations” is an important part of ensuring that you have an enjoyable experience as a tenant of Realty Shop & Property Management. If you would like to request a copy of your neighborhood’s “Rules and Regulations”, please e-mail our leasing agent with your name and property address and we’ll be happy to supply you with a copy, if available.
